Wait Til Helen Comes | Review

Page count: 184
Author: Mary Downing Hahn
Title: Wait Til Helen Comes

So I finished this last night and I really enjoyed it. For a middle grade book this had the power to make me angry while reading it. Heather the younger step sister annoyed and angered me so much. I wanted to hurt her myself.

Molly and Michael's mom and step dad move out to an old farm house with their step sister Heather.  Shortly after arriving Heather starts acting worse than she usually did basically making Molly and Michael's life almost a living hell (for 10 year olds).

I enjoyed this middle grade. I plan on reading more of Mary Downing Hahn's books. I enjoy them now just as much as I did when I was younger.

My rating: 3.5 stars

Everyday | Review

I finished this while I was on a trip.

Basically it's about a being named A. I get the idea that it's a boy but the book says there is no definite gender. I had heard that this was really good and David Levithan's writing is really good.

I didn't go in with high expectations because I didn't want to be disappointed.

I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't blown away either. I felt just in the middle. I enjoyed his writing and his writing style. I liked A as a character but there were people he woke up in I didn't care to read about. I won't go into detail just to avoid offending anyone with my unoffensive opinion.

Over all the story fell flat but I did enjoy it and the writing.

I'm not sure how I feel about Rhiannon's character, I didn't dislike her but I wasn't crazy about her.

Over all I gave this 3 stars.

The Haunting of Sunshine Girl | Review

I read this about a week or two ago and really enjoyed it. I originally filmed a video review for my YouTube channel. I didn't post it because it wasn't very good and structured.

We follow a girl named Sunshine who moves from Texas to Washington with her mom. She decides the house is haunted the moment she sets her eyes on it.

In the midst of trying to prove her house is haunted she meets Nolan. They form a friendship. No romance.

That's all I can say to make sure I won't give away spoilers.

There wasn't a ton of character development, that I saw, in Sunshine or any side characters.

 I gave this 4 stars

I'll see you guys later with another video!
